Description:

Alstom is recruiting an Application Support Engineer to join the team responsible for the deployment and support of its innovative IT solution dedicated to maintaining global train and signaling fleets. The role bridges software support and technical deployment for large-scale railway projects worldwide, requiring strong analytical skills and a collaborative approach.

You will be the primary point of contact for reliability, after-sales, and depot teams to resolve technical issues, deploy updates, train users, and ensure smooth application performance. Responsibilities include analyzing bugs via JIRA, working with frontend/backend and database systems (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch), using container and orchestration tools like Rancher on Azure Kubernetes, and guiding users on best practices. This position offers a highly international and dynamic environment with opportunities to develop advanced technical and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in development or support of complex systems
• Knowledge of web-based / API architecture and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes, Rancher or similar orchestration tools
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent English communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams
